SIBU: Persatuan Tang Soo Do Moo Duk Kwan (PTSDMDK) Sibu Division has commended its eight-member team which returned with four gold and five silver medals at the recent 16th State Tang Soo Do Tournament held in Kuching.

Adrian Liu from University of Technology Sarawak (UTS) delivered a gold and a silver, Karen Liu from SMK St. Elizabeth (a gold and silver), Vicky Ling from Catholic High School (a gold), Ian Kan from SMK Sacred Heart (a silver), Leanne Kan from SJC (C) Chung Sing (a silver), Ngu Chu Siong from SMK Sacred Heart (a gold) and Jessica Hie from SMK Tung Hua (a silver).

“The achievement was the result of the hard work of the members and the contributions of the instructors,” said PTSDMDK president Ignatius Teng who revealed that the team had attended extra training classes in preparation for the competition.

He was speaking at a prize giving ceremony organised by the association to recognise the team’s achievement.

Ignatius Teng, who is also the master and chief technical instructor, also thanked those who had donated to support the expenses of the association. Tokens of appreciation from the association have been given to the donors.
