HSL fetes media to breaking-of-fast dinner at new Shang Pot outlet

Thirty members of the media were treated to a breaking-of-fast dinner at Shang Pot, La Promenade Mall on Monday by Hock Seng Lee (HSL).

The attendees at the eat-allyou-can-eat affair came from all strata of the media fraternity – from reporters to editors and graphic designers.

Shang Pot is a new no-pork, no-lard hotpot restaurant, best known for quality ingredients like Iga Wagyu Beef.

HSL digital marketing manager Sophia Ong said they were honoured that so many members of the media fraternity came for the annual event.

“We’re so thankful. As a construction company, the media keeps us updated with the latest business news and industry happenings. As a property developer, the media helps HSL promote our products,” she said.

Ong said since HSL’s La Promenade Mall opened in 2020, every media ‘buka puasa’ event has been at a new and different eatery.

“We try to surprise the media every time. I hope everyone enjoys the experience. Who knows which new restaurant we’ll be eating at next year,” she said.

This year, La Promenade Mall is also hosting a Ramadan bazaar with dine-in seating.

The community mall is located along the busy Kuching-Samarahan Expressway. All of its tenants are Sarawakian brands, including Black Bean Coffee & Tea, Zoro by MrDomus, NOMS, Authentic Chicken Rice and Foo Man Ting.
