A car was destroyed after it caught fire at the roadside of Mile 36, Jalan Pan Borneo MiriBintulu yesterday.

Bintulu Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) zone chief Wan Kamaruddin Wan Ahmad said firefighters were dispatched to the scene after being notified of the incident at 1.57pm.

“The team arrived at the scene to discover the car completely engulfed in flames. They were able to bring the fire under control and extinguished it about an hour later,” he said.

No injuries were reported in the incident.
