Do you have ‘The Voice’?

The Voice Of Borneo-Volume 3 singing competition will be held from April 14 to June

24 at various locations throughout the state.

The top three winners will become recording artistes for local music company, Aka Dambai Production, which is organising the competition.

Organising chairman Jesley Jabu Bajang, who is a composer in the company, said the contest will be held in Kuching from April 14 to May 11; Sibu from April 30 to May 7; followed by Miri and Limbang.

“If there is any addition to the audition venue, we will let you know later if there are any changes,” he said.

Participants must be 18 years old and above, and are not recording artistes.

The entry form is available on the ‘The VOICE of Borneo’ Facebook page and must be returned three days before the competition along with an entry fee of RM40.

Jesley said the participants are required to bring their own songs.

“Participants are also free to perform in any genre of song except Bollywood,” he said, adding that the final competition will be held in Kuching.

Besides the recording contracts, the champion will win a cash prize of RM2,000, while the first and second runners up will win RM800 and RM400 respectively. They will each also take home a trophy and a certificate.

Those in the fourth to 10th place will each bring home hampers, RM50 and a certificate of participation.
