KUCHING: A blood donation campaign will be held at the Boulevard Shopping Mall here from 10am to 3pm this Saturday.

Jointly organising the event are Sarawak Chiang Chuan Association and Kuching Chiang Chuan Association Youth section.

Also rendering their support to the campaign are Malaysian Red Crescent, Malaysia Entrepreneurs’ Development Association, Persatuan Penggerak Kemajuan Kota Padawan, Boulevard Shopping Mall and Sarawak General Hospital’s Blood Bank.

A press release yesterday said the organising commi ee welcomes individuals, who meet the blood donor requirements, to join and give their support to the activity.

“Donors aged between 18 and 60 weighing above 45kg and in good health are welcomed with the condition of minimum five hours of sleep, and not pregnant or menstruating,” said the statement.

The blood donation drive is to help ensure sufficient blood reserve at the SGH’s Blood Bank during the Ramadan month and Hari Raya Aidilfitri holiday.

Donors will receive a gi bag each.
