The twelve families whose houses were destroyed in a recent fire at Kampung Wireless here received donation from Catholic Welfare Services Miri (CWS Miri).

CWS Miri vice chairman Alexius N. Munan handed over the contribution in a simple ceremony at Kampung Lereng Bukit multipurpose hall.

The contributions consist of essential food items and some cash donations to each of the families.

Alexius remarked that CWS, in some small way, hopes that the donations could help ease the burden of the fire victims.

Kampung Wireless community leader Rushdi Abdul Rani was present to receive the contributions, on behalf of the fire victims.
