KUCHING: Malaysian Red Crescent (MRC) of SJK Chung Hua No. 5 Kuching has successfully organised a fundraising project for Sarawak Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SSPCA) and donated RM2,525, packets of rice, pet food, and old clothing to the society.

The objective of this community service is to inculcate the love and care for these animals at SSPCA shelter in the students.

SJK Chung Hua No. 5 headmistress Chin Mui Ling presented the donation to SSPCA president Datin Dona Drury-Wee on Nov 27.

Chin expressed her sincere thanks to the parents, teachers, and students for making this fundraising project a success.

At the same time, Malaysian Red Crescent Stampin Branch chairman Chai Chon Hon presented Chin with the Best Link Award 2023 (Sarawak Branch), which she received on behalf of the school.
