BINTULU: OM Materials (Sarawak) Sdn Bhd takes pride in contributing to the educational development of students at SMK Bandar Bintulu through a donation of three television sets and three projectors.
The items were presented to the school during a ceremony on Wednesday, which is part of the OM Materials ‘Empowering Students to Soar’ corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme.
As a testament to its commitment to supporting the next generation, OM Materials recognises the importance of providing students with modern educational tools for an enriched learning experience.
The three television sets and projectors are intended to foster innovative learning, offering students access to the latest educational resources.
“These contributions go beyond being electronic devices; they represent opportunities for wider knowledge.
“By embracing technology, we believe students can engage in a more interactive and dynamic learning process,” said OM Materials senior manager Chieng King Tung in a statement.
As part of the ‘Empowering Students to Soar’ initiative, OM Malaysia also conducted a career talk to provide students with valuable insights into various career paths and expose them to real-world experiences in different industries.
“We understand the importance of guiding students towards a promising future. Our career talk is designed to help students explore diverse career opportunities, beyond academic pursuits.
“It’s an opportunity for them to interact with professionals and make informed decisions about their future,” Tung added.
He hoped the contributions not only enhance the educational environment at SMK Bandar Bintulu but also inspire students to achieve academic excellence and pursue fulfilling career paths.
