UPMKB students raise funds for university’s food bank
BINTULU: The BAKSIS Day (Putra Bakti @ AnimEX 5.0), a recent event by the students of Universiti Putra Malaysia Bintulu Campus (UPMKB), has managed to raise some funds for its Putra Food Bank.
The programme’s deputy director Rachel Lau said the charity event with the hashtag #Daripada PelajarKepadaPelajar involved all UPMKB students, with its main objective to help fellow university mates from low-income households.
Lau presented the collection to the Student Management Office’s chief administrator Mohd Syukri Mohd Adenan, witnessed by university personnel and student council members.
Putra Food Bank is a facility provided by the Student Management Office to help underprivileged students gain access to free food and basic necessities.
UPMKB welcomes any interested parties who wish to donate money or basic necessities to support Putra Food Bank and its charitable cause.
The public can donate directly to UPMKB’s bank account (CIMB: 8005232086) or to send in their donation of goods to UPMKB.
