KAPIT: Kapit Kwang Tung Association recently presented monetary assistance to a member currently recuperating at home after undergoing surgery.

Chairman Kong Sien Hua said the one-off aid is one of the association’s initiatives to help members suffering from critical illnesses.

“This cash assistance is to help lessen the financial burden of the recipient who is unable to work during the post-surgery recovery period.

“Since its introduction about a year ago, our welfare initiative has benefitted several of our members,” he said.

Other forms of aid provided by Kapit Kwang Tung Association to its members include study incentives for high-achieving students, and funeral assistance.
