SIBU: Personnel from the Community Development Department (Kemas) office here recently took part in a 2.5km hike at Bukit Kemunyang.

Kemas Sibu in a statement said the event involved some 40 staffers and was jointly organised with Boyak Bukit Hiker’s Sibo.

“A total of 15 volunteers from Boyak Bukit Hiker’s Sibo helped the Kemas team to reach the summit of Bukit Kemunyang.

“The aim of this hike is to encourage youths to be more active in addressing social issues and to encourage more collaboration among government agencies, private sectors and youth organisations,” said Kemas Sibu.

It added the programme was also aimed at building a closer rapport among the participants and to build a wider network among themselves.
